Just here to learn and have conversations about topics that interest me.
My PC crashed on December to 27th and lost all of the Browser Tab data, so I lost two years of reading and watching. I got my fresh start, just not at a time of my choosing 😂

I have also taken to following journalists and not news outlets, because I can know their biases better and sometimes get a fuller unedited version of the story that was published.

Very good examples. I have taken to just skimming posts now to get a broad view of the news for the day, and then visiting my follows that specialize in a subject I was interested in a few days ago for a more in-depth analysis once the situation has shaken out.

I wouldn't say they are bad now, but they don't have the same integrity as when they started their reporting.
January 3, 2026 at 11:13 PM
I think a lot of them ended up becoming too broad in their scope. I watched many accounts that focused on specific conflicts or theatres suddenly having to report on areas they weren't familiar with (for example, Ukrainian focused accounts suddenly having to report on North Korea, China and Iran).

I think a lot of accounts went downhill in 2022, many got sucked into the disinformation sphere and didn't have the time or manpower to sort through all of the information. Things are happening so rapidly now on so many fronts that it takes a lot to verify everything that may be happening.

It's why I like Evergreen, they know aviation and so that's what they analyse and post about in depth. But they also report information, without bias and without jumping to conclusions, if they don't feel they know enough to comment.
January 3, 2026 at 10:12 PM
Yeah for geolocation they are all pretty good, but for analysis it's a mixed bag. I don't think many of them have the in-depth knowledge of varied weapon systems and platforms that make more specialized accounts a better follow.

Evergreen Intel is golden, they are reserved in their opinions and don't tend to comment until they have a bit more information. 95% of their information is either verified or they make sure you know it is unverified and don't take it too seriously. In my opinion they are the gold star for aviation

IntelDoge is 50/50 (or was the last time I looked), Faytuks seemed to be a rumour mill same as OSINTdefender, Aurora Intel was far too opinionated for my taste and ignored a lot of good information if it didn't fit their opinions.

You do amazing work! Always worth supporting that 😁

I just saw the video and thought the same thing haha

I think that's the point, all of the people associated with his case (and others) that haven't been prosecuted are the target of this satirical title I suspect.

When you talked about pegging an IT employee, I thought this was going in a very different direction. What a glorious display width cutoff.

It actually is easily done in a hanging. Saw someone who had hung themselves from a bridge and this happened. But this being Russia, he probably shot himself three times in the back of the head before hanging himself.

They're not even that big. But I do chuckle at the idea that Hollywood's obsession with size zero models is because of the "woke agenda", and not a worrying obsession with child like adults that seems to abound there.

To be fair, I did media studies years ago and it was a useless subject. There was very little focus on the use of media, how it can be manipulated. I mainly seemed to focus on the work of Alfred Hitchcock and what emotions he was trying to present and how musical scores added to the emotions.

My dad always says "arse over tit", but in polite company he says "base over apex" instead. I could never decide which I like more

In reply to some of the comments, this is specifically for super/hypersonic missiles. The missile moves faster than the sound waves.

Feel like that "next administration" line is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

I honestly haven't seen much tough talk from the US, apart from in pressuring Ukraine on issues. People still don't realise that the US is now an unreliable ally, or haven't come to terms with the full reality of it.

I think you will find those are tea mugs my good man.

Oh I agree, after the Iran/Iraq war they knew that they didn't have the dominant regional power. But they focused their strategy on other methods, and that is where I suspect their power lays. Not in the direct conflict, but in the grey zone.
June 13, 2025 at 11:12 PM
I see Iran as being a long term player, most of their actions has been via proxies/grey zone. I think their full retaliation will be death by a thousand cuts, not the full scale war people seem to think. Even their last full scale strike against Israel was a bit of a dud compared to perceived threat
