Thank you @hhfinewinesandspirits for the support and the supply of new colors in bottle glass! It feels so good that small local companies on the island, each in their unique niche, support each other ♡

With weekly new beginners in the workshop, we end up with a LOT of short glass rods. The amount is too much to melt back together. Once a year I fuse these short glass rods into something new: coral sun catchers!

From Trash to Treasure!

These glass beads are created at Terrafuse from bottles from Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort Aruba (Earth Check Certified since the year 2000!)

From Trash to Treasure!

Sample beads at the start of a collab between Terrafuse and Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort Aruba (an Earth Check Certified hotel). Small island states have a huge issue with glass waste. This collab does not solve this, but asks your attention in a positive way.

So tell me, how does it work?
If you do what you love, does that attract people? Is it passion that we spread or is the ancient skill of glass bead making that interesting? Is it because glass in its liquid state is such a fascinating material? Is it because we are all little pyromaniacs?

This piece was bought by a dear custumor in December 2010, almost 15 years ago.... The beads are hollow or blown, but none of them broke. Glass beads last forever. It was just the clasp that gave up! Happy to redo it.

So this is Molly from Australia. She studies Design in Denmark. Traveled to Vietnam, met a nice Dutch guy, that is working on Aruba. And now Molly is here, blowing glass at the torch.

For local youth and students we have a special workshop rate. Wanna know more? Email arubaglassceramics@gmail.com

It's normal on Aruba for Xmas cards to come in January! This heartwarming wish was personally delivered last week. We are a small place & just 2 of us, no intention to change the world, but happy if we can touch a few hearts & share our passion.
