A draft deal at COP29 proposes $250B/year by 2035 from wealthy nations to help vulnerable countries fight climate change. Developing nations are demanding $1T+.

Organizers of the UN climate summit issued a draft agreement today that would see the US, EU and other wealthy governments send $250 billion annually in climate finance to developing nations by 2035.
Climate proposal would see rich countries pay $250B a year
The draft agreement comes with many uncertainties about which nations will provide how much financing to poorer countries, especially with a new Trump era looming in the U.S.
