Making history and Nigeria(ns) are like 5&6.

Should be restored for historical preservation and tourism purposes.

Wow! She’s on record saying the exact opposite that it’s Rema that changed her life forever.

Oh, my bad! Then just ‘bore’ us at least with the heavenly stories from those places, so we’ll have something to aspire to, right? I don’t get the fixation on local Nigerian crimes that don’t even make national headlines in the country, globalizing them on Bluesky. What’s the agenda?

RiskMap, please report similar stories in other countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Europe, China, Asia generally, the Arab world, etc for information as well, to update us. Focusing only or mainly on Nigeria for these updates is like preaching to the converted.

Seems like RiskMap is usually a compendium of the negative about Nigeria. It’s as though Nigeria is the location for all that’s negative.

In other words, the fact of abductions is uncontested, the dispute is over the inflated numbers. Seems to me, the fact of abductions is foundational to the figures, factual or fallacious, churned out.

I would rather characterize it as required behavior change not wedding dilemma. If it requires enforcement of existing law for Nigerians to treat the national currency (Naira) with respect, I am all for it.
May 18, 2024 at 7:57 AM
Does this riskmap document crimes in other parts of the world at all? Isn’t the whole world a RiskMap crime wise?

“Efforts are being made to repair the damaged….”, let me guess, for the next thieving session to commence, right? Are there laws at all on this and other national critical infrastructure vandalism and are they being enforced?

What’s the point of your question?
April 26, 2024 at 6:43 AM
Misleading. The company she defamed has sued her. She claimed the product contained unhealthy amount of sugar and is killing people. The product is clearly labeled tomato mix with its sugar element boldly listed. She was unfamiliar with the mix and confused it with her usual tomato paste.

Aptly put Mr. President. It’s ironical that people want solutions yet they are criticizing solutions being implemented without providing superior alternatives.
February 26, 2024 at 8:48 PM
I think so myself and agree with the lawmaker’s position. Historically, each time we confront challenges like this, the record shows that we bounce back better, bigger and stronger. It’s the Nigerian spirit, overcoming challenges. it’s in our DNA.

You can simply qualify your posts on this public forum as “Read only” rather than get all riled up because a contrarian advice is offered. I still would like to be enlightened as to the value of going back to a spilt milk that’s unlikely to be salvaged a year after.
February 19, 2024 at 5:31 PM
What is the point, the value, of fixating on what’s clearly an irreversible reality now, the matter having been litigated through the judicial system to no avail? Move on and recalibrate for the future if you don’t like what happened last time around.

Bad Leadership, Leadership capabilities and visions, to me, are 2 sides of the same coin. My question was/is, about the pool from which this leadership is drawn, doesn’t a mirror reflect/reveal the image presented to it?
February 17, 2024 at 7:49 AM
On bad leadership causing all the problems in Nigeria, help me understand, is the pool from which our bad leadership is drawn different from that containing the good citizens? How do we square up good citizens routinely throwing up bad leaders? Something’s not right with this logic.

The day that Nigerians and Africans stop cozying up to America and the West to validate who we are and what we do will be the day that we will attain our freedom and realize our worth. You make music in Nigeria/Africa then look to American Grammys to validate you. Hilariously ridiculous!
February 7, 2024 at 9:03 AM
How so, I wonder. Does it mean that South Africa can or should never win and Nigeria can or should never lose? Otherwise, one SA win should not be seen or described as a SA - Nigeria rivalry issue. But of course, @BBCWorld has a narrative to push and that is to stoke a nonexistent rivalry.

Cities occupy a part or parts of countries’ landmass (es). Thus, as concentrations of people within areas of a country’s defined landmass (geographical area), it simplifies things that the population occupying a segmented area (city) of a country’s landmass is emphasized.
January 17, 2024 at 10:22 PM
Oh I see, that’s the frame of your view of the matter?🤣 Well, countries generally border each other, except for example, island countries such as Madagascar and so it makes, to me at least, that they are reckoned by the landmass they occupy….
January 17, 2024 at 10:12 PM
Based on my logic? Was it your logic then when you asserted that Ibadan is the largest city in West Africa? Are we going to just debate or try to enrich and enlighten? Why the pivot to countries when the subject of your lead post is the city of Ibadan?
