Coordination, yes. But I prefer just touching a button instead of spending 30 seconds manouvering the cursor across the screen to that button. It takes less time. I agree there need to be buttons on the stalks or wheel for the important stuff, like lights and wipers (although those are automatic)

Yeah but also the keyboard doesn’t move and in a car everything moves. And the most used button is pretty often just a dial which moves a cursor at - you guessed it - a screen

Usually buttons are next to each other and you don’t count them, you just look. And after you pressed it you usually look again if it worked. That’s no different than touching a touchscreen. The only thing missing is haptic feedback (which tells you that you pressed the button, not if it worked)

Actually buttons do require to look because there are usually more of the same kind in the same area. I drive a touchscreen only car daily, you can’t tell me nothing
