Personally, I viewed the design as being based on Sailor Bubba, then it was those wojacks done against transgender individuals. It would fit the newground era perfectly.

While I feel this is a bit overexaggerated. We are in a different time where things are seen a bit differently. I wouldn't say transphobic, just more, not fully thought out.
