The Shai-Hulud Savant. Shelved more pingers than you’ve had hot dinners.
I hope they bury Mandelson under the jail. Odious, treacherous, selfish cunt.

But the real sickness is that everyone knew what a cunt he was and still kowtowed to him and gave him infinite political lives. Because he schmoozed the worst people in the world. I hope he gets Crohn’s Disease.

Even more so than just being handed £55K, which I definitely would remember asa key life event, I’d remember the time I was holding a clipboard in a pair of y-ftonts (and certainly wouldn’t be doing it around people I don’t know). Is Mandelson suffering Convenient Dementia?

Creepy bastard.

Yeah, this guy’s a fucking legend. Absolutely the kind of doctor you want to see.
Been watching the doc about the mushroom murderer. I can’t believe how strongly I want to go for a pint with that doctor. Absolutely represents the best thing about Australians. Not a care in the world apart from his patients, utterly no-nonsense, and mad as a March hare in every other way.

Holy fuck, the Netflix mushroom murders doc is dreadfully full of AI pish. I’m done watching it, I’ll wait for a good book. Fucking pathetic.

There is no evidence of sentient life anywhere but on Earth.

So imagine you’re the suddenly-sentient universe, experiencing itself for the first time. You can now understand concepts, and even how vast you are. Then, the leader of the sentient world becomes the worst cunt with a gold shitter…

GamePass folk, get on The Talos Principle 2. I loved the first one, but the second is nearing Portal 2 levels of puzzle game amazingness. One of my favourites of all time.

As the world goes to shit and I feel like shit, I’m finally getting around to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Don’t usually get into AC games, but very much enjoying my time with this. So much to see and do, good characters and decent writing. Brilliant bang-for-buck, could easily put 80 hours in.

His name was Alex Pretti. He will be remembered.

Bella ciao.

Started MIO: Memories in Orbit there. Absolutely adore a Metroidvania, so this is up my alley. It looks gorgeous, seems to play pretty well so far. Need to be patient with bosses or you get crushed. There’s an elegiac, slightly depressing quality to it, but enjoying it so far.

Have stuck Braveheart on. Elderslie looks much better in this film than when I lived there!

This wee street cat keeps coming to our frosted glass front door and taunting our house cat. Just got a notification on our camera and there he was leaving for the night. Tempted to let him in to see what happens. Our boy’s a sweetheart, but big enough to ride into battle. Maybe they’ll be pals?

Been watching Stranger Things S4 with my partner. Not on the last series yet. The writing hasn’t been amazing, but I think it’s still very much worth watching. The consistently ace set-pieces outweigh the nonsense for me. I love a 7/10, me. Find the good in everything you watch.

That’s three nights in a row I’ve woken up at exactly 04:20. I think the universe is trying to tell me something.

I’ve mostly been listening to Henge today. Psychedelic druid space-caper rave pop. So much silly fun, I think I’m on a mission to see then live next year. They’re like if GWAR were cosmic shamen instead of sex monsters.

Picked up The Messenger in the Xbox sale for £3.74 past week. Absolute bargain. Great game, not quite a full Metroidvania, but loads to discover. Perfect “listen to a book” game.

Rob Reiner’s death shook me a bit. Watching Stand By Me and reflecting on my own childhood. In hindsight, I can’t believe how lucky I was. We actually had adventures, did things, built shit, lots of stupid but innocent stuff that would be wild today. We had a section of a river only we could get to.

Me when Martin O’Neill came back.

Watched Interstellar again. Can’t believe I didn’t like it the first time I saw it. It gets better every time I see it and it elicits some really ugly crying now.

On the plus side, there’s a chance we’re about to see Trump trying to figure out how to pronounce Curacao.
December 5, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Congratulations to Donald Trump on his consolation Make-A-Wish peace prize. Definitely not embarrassing loser behaviour.
December 5, 2025 at 5:30 PM
This kiss the ring pish is embarrassing from FIFA. Pathetic bootlicking cunts. Get fucked.

My Da swung a last-minute ticket to the scotland game tonight. Delighted for him, because he’s an Irish man who also loves Scotland, the country he got adopted into.

But also gutted because I was born here and THEY’RE TAKING OUR TICKETS!!!

😂

I’m just jealous. Mon ma Da.

Still enjoying The Outer Worlds 2. Really enjoying how accurate it is. I’ve been a corpo-dick for 20 years.

Corporations won’t save humanity. Nobody in any c-suite has ever solved a problem that the world needed solving. They MIGHT pay a wee bit to people who care to dig them out of a hole.

Cunts.

David Jonsson has become one of those actors that I’ll watch anything he’s in. He’s so good.
