My big guy killed a mouse outside one night. I was in bed and heard him meowing on the deck, opened the back door, and he came racing in the house with something in his mouth. You guessed it - the dead mouse. He left his little gift for mommy smack in the middle of the kitchen floor.

My Buddy, RIP, brought a mouse into the house. He was so proud of himself. I heard meows on the deck, opened the back door and he came flying in, and I could tell he had something in his mouth. He plunked it down on the kitchen floor. At least it was dead. His "I love you mommy" gift.

Lantern flies are these disgusting bugs with red wings and black spots, and they feast on everything in your garden. It's very hard to get rid of them. Sometimes you'll see clusters of them on trees like in the picture. They're just gross.
