It wasn't their job to convict Trump.. But they realized nothing was happening at DOJ. And the best hope to push them into action was to put on a big show. Their job was to investigate it, have hearings and help everyone understand the whole picture. They did a great job.

From what I've heard this administration has taken over much, much faster than most successful autocrats. Even Putin went slower. The huge show of force early means they're sloppy and often ineffective. They have a lot of money for ICE. But if dems get into the house they can stop funds

Stop them from doing what? My family was just making a living and a life. They probably had lived there for 50 to 100 years. Jews weren't allowed official status or to own land. They were developing a middle class that the lower aristocracy wanted to take over. Though most were poor.
