I have enjoyed engaging in a bit of 'craftivism' for Ed Milliband. As much as climate and nature protest and campaigning are crucial, it's also important to acknowledge right decisions and to give recognition and support to those who make them. I accompanied this embroidery with a letter encouraging Ed Miliband to keep resisting the huge pressure he must come under from his colleagues who are bent on the pursuit of constant growth which is impossible on a finite planet, to reverse the decision to sink millions into carbon capture and storage, which has been abandoned elsewhere due to its failure so far, and to put money instead into a national mass insulation scheme and rooftop solar panels.
