Yeah, it's all so new to me. The Extra is another level, and I got the manual for it. Plus, I'm totally blind and will be taking the exams in person. 70 questions is about enough for someone too read to me, and enough for my brain to take in. We shall see. :)

I was advised by more than a few hams to study for my general and technician at the same time, since there is a 40% or so overlap. So i'm going to test for both at one session in December.

Common wisdom a few years ago was to unfollow everyone and not delete the account so someone couldn't steal the username. Not sure how effective it is. I haven't touched my X account in two years. Have not signed in or even viewed others' tweets.

I abandoned twitter, too around that time. I like Mastodon, too. this seems like a neat platform so far.
