A fair point and honestly in BfA I feared they would make zandalari just another titan construct. Though its being always like that with blizzard... Looking how after war3 they changed how scourge took its aesthetic from nerubians and in SL that he stole it from maldraxxus. Just average blizz....

Well it could be still that they were just another branch of dark trolls which evolved earlier than we though as they talked about some looking towards moon and stars(most likely which Became night Elves) and them following the Voice of The goddess.
