Ended up working a decent amount this weekend, despite being ahead, but I also took some time to play a little more "Otome the exorcist." Really enjoying it. The H is really sleazy though I wish the player didn't control the pace of corruption. RPG combat is Very good.

One pitfall of making branching narrative games is that as the author you tend to fall in love with one or more branches which makes them become more canonical in your head, to the point that imagining players choosing the others can become frustrating.

I finally found a use for the hidden "compassionate" stat I've been tracking the entire game. It will literally determine one line of dialogue!

I am at another completely brain melting part of development where I have some good old fashion madlib dialogue based on way too many player stat checks... where I have to reconsile OPPOSITE stat checks into logical streams of dialogue.

This is why I buy cheap and poorly reviewed H games whenever they're on sale. Sometimes I find something I really like that others don't appreciate.

So far I'm finding Cage of the Succubi to be much more fun and charming than I could have ever hoped for. and I got it for less than $4.00

I'm enjoying Ordeal of Princess Eris but it's EXTREMELY flawed. Combat is unbalanced but I like it as it's challenging even with preparation.

There are like 5x too many field monsters, and while the characters and story are good it sometimes lacks catharsis.

Still really enjoying Detective Girl of the Steam City. While the detective part is rather simple and easy, it is enjoyable. The Erotic parts are really well handled and more believable from a Roleplaying standpoint than many Japanese corruption games.

I started Detective Girl of the Steam City. I'm enjoying it more than Clymenia's other games. It's quite enjoyable as a detective game and a corruption game.

The H content (so far) stands out as well grounded. It's nice to have a cool headed tomboy protagonist.
