How can you run a crowdfunding campaign successfully without having a significant online presence or audience and with no source of money to throw at marketing? I'd love to run one but I hate self-promotion and haven't been active on socials much, but I also don't have a pre-funding fund.

I rarely use NPCs that the game provides in my games, especially if they have a great importance to the setting and lots of history. I do like them as examples of what my own NPCs should be like! Making up NPCs, both on the spot and in pre-planning is one of my favourite parts of GMing.
