I'm also, as always, immediately struck by and enamored all over again with this franchise's sincerity and earnestness. I love how KH rarely bothers to wink at itself or imply that everything it's doing is silly nonsense. it really invites the player to care and get invested and it absolutely works.

I'd forgotten how much I adore all the little touches this game sneaks in—characters reacting differently in certain cutscenes if you do things out of order, the gummi ship having the same name Sora or Riku wanted to name their raft back home, etc.
