Also put on a K&N cold air intake setup. Uncaring for the "reusable filter" bit and looking for a paper style cone to use instead, but this was done for noise more than performance. Seems like it's easier to ease the clutch and get moving from a standstill now though.

Some changes have been made to that glorious shitbox, the silver chariot of sketchy decisions, the Yaris. Swapped to a Megan Racing axleback exhaust/muffler. Sounds pretty nice but isn't painfully louder, makes it sound more like a slightly noisier 2003-2006 Scion xB.

Another quarter video to try and capture the sound difference. It's more noticeable in person. Found a 2023 quarter, note how silver-er the 1963 is by comparison.

I should've looked for a 2022(?)-present coin for an even better comparison. Anyways, the silver coin makes a noticeably different sound compared to newer ones. If you're in the US, open your ears and eyes and try hunting for these too!

Found something interesting today! 1963 quarter. First pre-1965 we've come across in the wild.
Context for people who don't collect coins they find: the earliest quarter you'll normally find in common use is 1965. changed from 90% silver to cupro-nickel then, pre-65s have been hunted for since.

For context, the first two Prius gens used a version of the Yaris motor with 13:1 static compression and a low lift, high duration cam that closed late to reduce effective compression down to about 9:1 (and cheat compression: expansion ratios for efficiency)

Sourced a similar, newer revision to the Unicomp as seen above, minus pointing stick, because it seemed neat and buckling switch keyboards feel amazing for typing. Probably going to get a beige TKL MX switch board for daily use or gaming though.
