Chris Connelly, as I sat as the stand in for camera post JS flirting with me at the bagels, told me I was beautiful. I haven’t seen the movie since. It won’t stand up to that weird intro to working in tv. & this all happened pre-9AM some random weekday. I probably went back to logging tapes after.

I was beside myself with awe, fresh from Montana and just moved to the city finding myself amongst all these up and coming stars waiting for interviews for an MTV movie special. I’d owned Jon Stewart’s book already, even tho I was a poor college student. So a pre Daily Show fan.

The first time I worked in TV and got paid was for a special I worked at for MTV when I was 22 and new to NYC it was for the Faculty. We shot at Mars 2112, just below 1633 (if you know, you know). Jon Stewart maybe flirted with me as we made bagels at 8am?

You’re probably not going to be surprised that most people who make tv are unemployed right now. They’re making less tv than ever. I’m glad people are finally noticing.

I’m a white person who thinks about this constantly. I come from a long line of people who didn’t teach me to be a criminal and it shows in my bank account.

That’s just not true. You just know boring people.

We could have SO many fun reality shows with real and interesting characters, but instead we have endless money wasting spinoffs of ancient films.
