Can the US even dictate that NATO is not allowed to accept any new members like that?
Surely there's a process where all members are involved, not just the one member that's already quiet-quitting and sabotaging the alliance.

Under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the U.S. Manual for Courts-Martial, service members must obey lawful orders and disobey unlawful orders. Unlawful orders are those that clearly violate the U.S. Constitution.
