Mid-fifties here. Can confirm this never gets better. Just increasingly disorienting as you realize that everyone is a 16-year-old inside, trying to fake it as an adult.

Each of us believes in fundamental things. Gravity pulls you down. Day follows night. The Earth is round.

And more things: vaccines are good healthcare. More people going to college is a good thing. We ultimately need to transition off fossil fuels...

We lost because we didn’t know we were fighting a Reality War.
