Of the many rock biographies I’ve read, this is one of the best. The story of the failed transportation and them taking an NY public bus in their full metal gear to play a massive concert is a definite fave.

So lovely. Just exactly what I needed. Plus witty dialogue which always keeps me reading.

Toast is one of my very favourite books not least because I also grew up near The Battle of Britain in Penn. Although it was about a decade after you, I recognized SO much including small fuzzy trees and terrible icing on Xmas cakes 😊.
