I likely won't be using this much. If you are here for some reason, check out my very infrequently-updated blog instead: www.tempystral.live
I'm in the same boat. There's plenty of events I'd love to attend in the states (Anthrocon, GDQ) but I genuinely don't think I'll be safe traveling through the border as a Canadian. It sucks!

"Making bad decisions on cooldown" is fire but I know how you feel. Make 2026 the year of action!

Though if you know exactlu what he nailed you with it might be possible to idenfiy its capabilities online. Guys like this love to operate on fear, it does as much damage as the malware.

If MB means motherboard then yeah it's possible to infect the boot process of a motherboard so your PC always boots up with malware attached. It's probably worth taking to a specialist? But I'm particularly risk averse.

It took me years to disconnect from the toxic "git gud" bullying mentality, and as it so happens, DS1 actually does a great job of scaling difficulty with progression when you're not underpowering yourself out of a weird sense of shame! It's actually quite fun!

There are multiple solutions to problems. Don't like your weapon? Go find a better one. Not dealing enough damage? Upgrade your weapons or level up. And in no way do these solutions diminish the requirement to build good combat skills, learn positioning, dodge timings, etc.

For years and years I though Dark Souls was a game about being continuously kicked in the dick and having to beat your head against the wall to progress, and certainly that is how a very loud segment of its player base acts. Turns out when you aren't listening to those people it's actually quite fun

My favorite thing about 6 7 is saying it to people to cause immense psychic damage, and saying it to kids to cause the same psychic damage. Ideally followed by a dab.

Without seeing how it works, it might be enough to have your button press simply apply a velocity rather than setting a speed and having the velocity be kind of low at first.

Mine was turbo-gangrene, which is why my dwarves produced miasma. The dying flesh would replace itself before even master surgeons could cure a patient and then they all got sick which made rebuilding pretty hard!

Oh you probably have a forgotten beast disease. Are your dudes producing miasma before they die?

I had this happen in a fort and was only able to save it by exiling and murdering every dwarf and pet that came into contact with the miasma, even for a single gametick. I lost like 60 dwarves.
