I'm actually a bit proud of this one. Still working on hair, and THAT ear I just kinda gave up on.
BUT! I think I did pretty well on the face!

Got two new art tablets today. One portable (left) and the other is for my PC.
Was mostly testing new brushes and app settings for the left image. The right was my best freehand attempt so far!

While at work, I had the idea to use a screenshot as a /bit/ of an anatomy lesson. Quickly sketched this on my phone to practice the lines.
Unsure if this counts as tracing? I wasn't careful with the lines, moreso did quick sketches as practice. Hopefully it's progress!

Day 3 of art progress.

First attempt at copying a reference/guide an artist friend (@skaiart.bsky.social) suggested, to get better at basic shapes. Will focus on hair once I get better at headshots.
Planning on just focusing on doing this daily for now!
