Just a nomad from Twitter (long time ago) and Instagram looking for the best place, always trying to restore what I have lost and also be in the center of the stream of time like I could not before social media.
Plus a dawn pic and a deer statue (place was named after it) in the dawn

Also found that the places East of where I live (Stuttgart area), with more Catholic traditions, tend to have giant churches in tiny places

A town hall in a German village having turned itself into an advent calendar.

Found a place nearby, and easy to reach by public transport, which makes me feel like being at the top of the world and at the edge of infinity

Not really a portal into another world - but it sure does look like one:

Just looked up Kotzebue on Google maps - seems so weird to me it's in Alaska because he was a German writer - but, as I have just learned, also a diplomat in Russia.
As with everything/-one I feel I should know more about, I will read up on him on Wikipedia:

Bukele has suggested that solution quite some time ago - and though it is just a lesser evil, it's the only one I could think of that might work.
(Not that he is not evil at all, but he has brains, and expresses himself in complete well-written sentences)

Not quite the same - but early mornings can be beautiful around here (where I am stuck, for better or for worse), too:

Good Morning

Clouds piling up dramatically
(and yet I was surprised when it suddenly started to rain)

Stuttgart has so many beautiful old houses from around 1900 (which, I have just learned, was one of Germany's best times). Wouldn't that one make a great fantasy movie setting ?

Not the greatest of views, nor the most inviting of benches - but a blessing after an early morning walk on a day on which it is too hot for almost anything at 7 am already:

Last 4 books I have read/am reading.
All wonderful.

From the news site I have to go through when I open my German mail account:
(it's not a very good site, but mostly accurate, just often mostly trivia - good to see they do report on what ICE is doing and the protest against it)

I don't have a garden.
But I go for walks.

Have you watched HIDALGO ?

Sure, quite a stretch from real history - but so beautiful.

Learned today that there is a plant/spice called `torch ginger`.
Will probably never taste it - but look at it: so interesting and beautiful !
