Artist, Printer, Writer, Fixer. I love the beauty of those intricate details we pass by every day. I believe that true strength is the courage to be vulnerable, to acknowledge our mistakes, and to help others as often as we can.
Quite a bit…we have a fair number of pigeons in this area, he gets a few a week based on what I see on my walks.

Great shot! I can never get them to sit still long enough. Have you tried for any of the big sea birds to the north?

Do you ever free write? I find that if I’m struggling to get started I can just start letting my thoughts flood the paper to warm up.

It’s why distributed and decentralized social media is so important for our future. Fear drives the weak and vicious to seek control over others until the flame of creativity and the beauty of raw personal expression is snuffed out.

I’m so happy to see you here. You can’t have the best social media platform without great coffee and the best coffee minds.

I need a coffee starter kit, where is Hoffman?

I made many attempts to write something of consequence in my life, but until recently, I’ve never experienced the same eagerness of writing my next scene that I get from devouring a page turner. It’s a wholly distinct writing experience.

By far the best carriage design out of any typewriter ever made.

That’s a steal for a 56!

The 40s Quiet Deluxe looks identical to yours, I definitely prefer it over my mid 50s QDLs. What color is your 56?’

The Sterling is great. There’s a slightly better model that looks the same called the Silent Super. You should try it if you can!

Great machine, typically used by the military as well. If you haven’t tried the QDL of the save year, it’s amazing.

I really like early Royals, Smith Coronas, Underwoods, and Olympias. As a writer, you will want one with a Tab and a basket shift, which is different from a carriage shift. The difference is how much force it takes for your pinky to press shift.

Supplies are readily available thankfully. There are plenty of really solid machines for less than 100, you can find them at antique fairs, goodwills, thrift shops, etc. Anything between the 1920s to the 1950s should be pretty solid. Most just need to be cleaned. Ribbons are easy to get.

Do it! It’s a completely different experience.

They’re a great way to write without distraction and they’re also beautiful pieces of engineering.
