In the next adventure, Crew must venture down to the alien ruins of Biosis-9X2 to save Dr. Isabella Patel from the mutatious ABYZOZ ENIGMA.

In THE ARMARILIAN APPRESSORIUM, Crew investigate a strange conspiracy surrounding delicious, nutritious(?) BLASTO shrimp snacks.

In the MERMAID'S KISS, Crew must venture into the HELIX SINISTER, currently surrounded by a shiver of SHARKMEN. The scientists within are trapped in a bloody Sharkman ritual, forced to cannibalize one another until only one remains.

But the theory I personally like the most is that they were gaming tokens. The sex act may have been specific to the game ("draw a coin from the bag and do what it says" has been suggested, for a sort of organised orgy scenario) or they may just have been naughty decorative checkers.
