Easily, funny how it was originally panned because it came out just after E.T. Haha

I have not seen that. Other recommendations for good ones? Alien Romulus had one that got me good.

Well the jump scares aren’t so much the lazy ones we see now. The ones in The Thing think are earned and effective because of how much tension is built before they happen. Also helps how good the practical effects and sound track are.

We don’t see the dogs get weirded out by it until it gets put in the kennel with them and immediately that’s when everything started unfolding.

There’s a prequel that came out in 2011 but it really is no where near as good as the original. The version on Prime I think is remastered. If you haven’t seen it please make time to watch it.

2 year old me loved the movie so much that I broke the VHS tape so much from rewinding it. Fortunately my grandmother started sending me the Japanese films instead of getting me another copy.

Watched The Thing (1982) for the hundredth time last night. Incredible how well that movie sets up the plot.

That gives me hope 🙏🏼 I’ve been let down by this franchise a lot (I understand people like Prometheus/covenant it’s just not my cup of tea).

Heard he is a bit of a diva on set but otherwise I love his work.

I’ve used the public restroom is Penn Station many of times, someone dressed as a woman would be the least of my concerns.
