Started dropping gaming challenge vids on youtube on a new channel on the first day of 2025 to see how far I can get with youtube and streaming from 0 in one year

Between having no computer for a while, then being too demotivated to work for a while, I took way too much time off
I still plan on going full force into Youtube though, and really hope I can be MUCH more consistent in the future

The "trauma" of it all kind of all came rushing back a bit from the music loss, so I spent a while kind of grieving
Im better now, but im very habit driven so it took a min to get back in the habbit of working on vids again
Im back at it now tho!

I have turned a lot of my life around, and am sober and happy now, but...

That music was the only thing that made me feel like living through my depression had meaning, and losing it made me think a lot about how much time I lost

When I fixed my computer bluescreen problem I lost everything on my C drive, which LUCKILY my recordings weren't on
However I did lose about 15 years worth of my music production that my dumb ass didnt back up
I produce tracks, write lyrics, record it, and mix and master it

Just a few days before I got monetized my big video went from getting 1.5k views a day to now getting 600 a day, so that's slightly a bummer.
Turns out a 3.5 hour long video with 1.5 hour average watch time per view pays way higher then I thought in comparison to my last channel with 10 min vids

In all seriousness though, I am genuinely curious how much it costs them to host just your 3k hours of highlights.
I can see how it might need some kind of limiting if all streamers had thousands of hours of highlights that no one tends to watch (I didn’t even know about highlights untill this)
