Technically they killed it in the Last Order as that book's flashbacks (~27-28 ABY) suggest Jannah is between 16 to 17 years old during those flashbacks, which makes her too old to be Lando's kid (13 ABY; 14-15 years old).

I want to be clear: Toei should have done more to protect Maya, specially from those face rumors.
BUT! If you do research, the Japan talent agencies hold too much power. Her agency directly asked Toei to remove her, which is likely in the contract
Could Toei fight this?

In Japan, a celebrity’s talent agency holds inordinate power over them and how their image/likeness is used by companies who hire that talent.
While we will never know the whole story, I would say it’s a much safer bet to direct your anger to the talent agency, not Toei.
