Ah no, that was related though- I found it during the same time period when I was cruising rutracker. Specifically, I found Sergei Bolashenko (the author of infojd.ru) through one of the torrents of his travel pics he'd uploaded. There were lots of goodies on that torrent site.

I don't think it goes much deeper than directed neuroticism and related dark triad impulses. "I don't like that other people have something I don't", "I'm not as powerful as I should be, let me destroy something", etc. That's my grand thesis for so many "political" sentiments in this genre.
