Yosemite was on fire when we visited! And then they got a once in a ten year rain. It was cloudy the whole time. But I live in Michigan and have spent a lot of time in the UP, have seen shooting stars, the aurora and the incredible night sky there. And Hawaii, sigh. Spectacular.

I only argue that it’s not a choice. Homelessness is really bad for your health.

The UP night sky is stunning. Second only to Hawaii, imo.

Acting as if the government is doing its own citizens a favor by helping to educate them to perform necessary labor the country needs is America’s second most toxic trait. The first is letting people go bankrupt over healthcare costs.

This is the theory of Trumpism, no more foreign wars, prioritizing the needs of American citizens vs immigrants, restoring the power of local governments and citizens vs nationalization, that aligns with many of the lefts goals. Actual Trumpism is just even more evil neo liberalism.

I wonder if we ever find out what they’ve got on Mike Johnson. He consistently looks like Kristi Noem shot his puppy in front of his face and he has to walk around in a daze pretending he doesn’t know anything about animal cruelty.

Agree. He opened a wide door and both parties stormed right through it.

Crazy stats in Tennessee:
-From 2019-22, 40% of companies paid only $100 in franchise tax, including 12% of companies with income over $1 billion.
-63% of corporations paid no excise tax
-over half of state revenues come from a 7% sales tax
-one of 11 states that tax groceries (at 4% rate)
Aftyn Behn: Running for Congress in deep red Tennessee
Aftyn Behn is trying to flip a seat Donald Trump won by 22 points in a December special election. Grocery bills and corporate taxes dominate.

Reagan ruined everything.

Yes. Senator Warren is a perfect example of someone who did ‘the math’ a long time ago and this dude couldn’t be bothered to pay attention because it was ‘emotional’?
November 24, 2025 at 4:27 PM
This guy is a moron who has clearly never spent a minute of his life actually listening to the ‘lefts’ arguments for raising wages. Everything he’s apparently discovered with his ‘mathing’ has been argued ad infinitum by Sanders and other progressives for a decade.

Total lack of accountability on the part of these Trump administration enablers. Slotkin cutting a video reassuring government employees they don’t have to obey unconstitutional orders after voting to confirm Kristi Noem. They should never be allowed to escape the consequences of their choices.

It’s literally not the oath they took. The first duty of anyone representing the American people in any capacity is to uphold the constitution. Any 5th grader should know this.

Because it’s so much easier to win by saying ‘Hey, you might not be crazy about any of my policies but my opponent is a literal Nazi,’ than it is to win by saying, ‘Yeah, I don’t support using tax payer dollars on services for taxpayers like my opponent wants.’

It was definitely morally questionable. And Jefferson was morally questioned publicly, notably by Hamilton but also by others many times. Jefferson wrote about the moral degradation and decay of slavery in his lifetime.

Lieberman, Manchin, there’s quite a long list of these losers before Fetterman, who has at least has serious health issues to blame.
