Sadly I'm not entirely sure who's the original photographer- the watermark states "MP.Moraitis", but I can't find them anywhere on the internet

Sorry to hear. Maybe we could draw together in Drawpile someday? I never tried that before, it seems fun

+ A few variations in practice

I will be experimenting with absrtact designs/compositions simmilar to this from time to time. It's not perfect but I love this and simmilar aesthetics enough to give it another go.

There were a few more, but the one I posted first is definitely the best in my opinion.
I've bee told "the composition doesn't make sense". Which is fair enough, but I still like what I did here enough to post it :)

And what a coincidence - INSIDE turns 9 today!
June 29, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Please play INSIDE, it's a haunting and beautiful game. Pretty short too, takes about 3 hours to complete, but it's definitely worth your time. Plus, it goes on sale on Steam pretty often!
This is not an ad, I just can't recommend this game enough.

And here's the preliminary drawing for this illustration. Honestly, I think I like it even better this way than how it ended up looking like in lithography lol. Might be a skill issue on my side though, I had to draw the entire thing on a stone with a razor.

However I didn't want to simply redraw what is already present in the game, so instead I looked for inspiration elsewhere. And I found it in the works of Chris Cunningham, particularly in his films "Flex" and "Rubber Johnny".

Obviously, the main inspiration for this is directly referenced in the title - The Huddle, a monstrous mass of human body parts stitched together that appears in the latter half of the game.

The quote comes from "pity this busy monster, manunkind" - a poem by E. E. Cummings, which is referenced in the game and further expands on its themes.

My initial idea is still on the table tho
June 28, 2025 at 8:33 AM
Initially I had a more grotesque idea in mind, inspired by Playdead's game INSIDE and "Második Galamb" by Venetian Snares, but in the end I decided to do something simpler. I didn't feel like stitching different parts of pigeon anatomy into a giant mass of flesh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
