maybe I'm spoiled by growing up watching cable TV. if I don't like where a show is at right now I have solace in the fact that more is coming and the current place of things is a step in a larger journey and story. the state of media changes as time progresses and that's okay.

the show is planned in a 4 season structure, if this wasn't part of the journey then it wouldn't be that way...... I dunno, not like people can't have critique on things they like but some of those complaints irk me and makes me think "do you actually like this show at all?"

I'm also a big proponent of people telling the stories they want to, and if Viv and co didn't find that to be a big part of the story, it wouldn't be focused on so much. yes there is a vibe change into season 2 but as is anything that progresses its plot and develops over time.

- is in. and that's kind of the crux of the plot of the show since day one and is intertwined with the themes of family and relationships and class and like the whole messages the show is trying to portray.. it feels like a natural progression to me to explore that?

but to act like it's sidelining the characters and plot for a ship is weird to me because like.. we are getting character development? in a character driven show? where the exploration of the psyche of the main characters is unsurprisingly intertwined with the contractual relationship the main char-
