The turkeys getting their first full day in the small run of the brooder so they can explore. It only took a minute for the smallest one to find a sun spot to bask and stretch in. You can hear the happy chirps.

Added some dollar store seeds into this years garden to try them out compared to my normal haul. I ended up not disappointed. They had something around 98% germination rate. Not bad for around 30 cents in seeds.

I’ve got a #Verizon phone that I charge every month to a Verizon credit card. it auto pays the full balance. Today it didn’t charge because Synchrony had flagged me for money laundering. Paying it off monthly for 3+ years was suspicious I guess.

Trying out soil blocking this year and getting out from using the tiny trays plastic containers.

Giving the hive a quick check before prepping to move them shortly. Below freezing temps for a while now but they are doing well. Wrapped & left a full super on top of 2 full boxes. They got to keep nearly all their work this year.

Surprise Mail Day. 11 months after sending 2 batteries (2Ah & 6Ah) for replacement to Ryobi, & 9 months after sending me the 2Ah back with papers saying it was my 6Ah then saying nothing they could do because it said 6Ah went out.

Today without notice the 6Ah was returned with paperwork.

Well as long as the world doesn’t kill me off I’ve got an important part of my year laid out now. No succession planting added yet but really expanding the garden attempt this year. Feels like a year to put in the effort.
