As it turns out, the device is a remote control interface that allows Spock’s body to be controlled and directed since his brain is gone. I’m sure Droxine, the cloud dweller from “The Cloud Minders” episode would be very interested in getting her hands on the remote, but we can save that for fan fiction. I’m not saying the tentacle helmet isn’t controlling Alasdair and forcing him to do its bidding, but I’m not NOT saying that….

Trying to capture Buffin’s title I see.

Buffins later went on to become the most prolific serial killer in Wyoming, leaving a trail of dead bodies and weeping families in its wake. The beguiling expression served to lure in its unsuspecting victims only to ravage them like the little bunny in that Monty Python sketch. The resulting crime scene left detectives nauseated and clueless as Buffins continued its reign of terror throughout the greater Casper metropolitan area. Buffins was finally brought down when it attacked former Army Ranger Ken Beverly who was wearing a Kevlar gator which saved him from Buffins initial onslaught. Using his skills acquired as both a Ranger and rodeo star, Ken used a creeping Jenny vine to hog tie Buffins and turn the murderous cat over to authorities.

I miss the day when people used to crochet their own Halloween costumes.
