i like this. it so well shows the feeling of coming across something that inspired happiness in the past but now serves only as a reminder of painful memories. i've got lots of these reminders of how i've been hurt by family in lots of different ways. i can't bear to get rid of them though.

the "tax the billionaires" political refrain is Good Actually in part because it is a call for the people at the top to actually be constrained by rules informed by the public interest, a virtue that fingerwagging correctives about how much revenue such taxes would *really* generate doesn't address

Mild take:

The vilification of "virtue signalling" was a political project designed to make even the most subtle reminders of what decency is uncouth and it fucking worked.

one provides pain management and a calm feeling while the other provides an actual high on top of it. i could see using one for recreation and the other for when joint pain gets way too bad.

depending on the cpu, 94c may be perfectly fine. honestly, so long as you're not seeing degraded performance, you're in the clear. if you're specifically worried about the longevity of the hardware, you can look into watercooling (i'd recommend an aio)

as nice as it is to be in a home where i can be me, it doesn't do to stay cooped up inside all day.

as a side note, it's awesome how bluesky makes making long posts easy by just letting you write, edit, and post a thread all in one go.
