@moderation.bsky.app can we get a way to filter out political content.

It doesn't have to be perfect but I would love to see less much politics

If you tell a really good story, people will believe you.

In fact, you can tell a story so good that people will do whatever you say.

It's interesting that a large percentage of all human conversations is simply

"look how bad the other group is".

Probably boils down to evolutionary threat detection.

A benefit of education is that it simply gives you other stuff to talk and think about.

My answer to the trolley problem is to do nothing.

Admittedly once the ratio is 50+ : 1,

I will be inclined to intervene and let the 50+ people live.

One of the biggest problems that X has is that, it is hard to use.

There's little incentive for famous people to use X when they know that eventually the mob will come for them.

Twitters initial success was built on being able to interact directly with famous. It is losing that

What predicts action?

Answer:

In this order
1. Necessity (You need to do it)
2. Ability (You can do it)
3. Desirability (You want to do it)

you know this X is cooked when you see accounts that have 10k+ followers barely get any likes on really good posts.

The algo is broken and is suppressing a lot of good content.

If you or your idea is doubted,

the correct thing to do is

1. Improve what you're presenting. Refine it thoroughly. Present it constantly. Break the audiences will.

2. Consider presenting to a different audience. An audience that may value what you're presenting more

I always think I should be more open-minded in general.

and specifically more open to woo stuff.

but it like never leads to anything better or useful.

It mostly seems like a reflex way to cope with mental issues or stress.

but I have none of those issues.

I have a guy that told me he would outcompete me.

Right now, he is beginning a master's degree because I have that degree.

I keep telling him it's a stupid idea but they won't believe.

The biggest trick in the world is when people are being convinced that nothing is happening while everything is happening.

The world is so populated that at every moment in time,

someone is doing something impactful/crazy that is either going to impact the world or you directly

The future of humanity is so bright.

There is going to be a significant increase in human flourishing.

Among all scientists that have ever lived, 75% of them are alive now.

Not immediately but humanity is gonna make so much progress,

that its impossible to imagine the future.
