Joined a new language server yesterday and in less than 24hrs, non-Scots have referred to Scots as "funny English" and suggested renaming Gaelic to Scottish. I'm so fucking done, lads.

And on this day, absolutely no one was surprised. Except for the part where I, descendant of Ayrshire farmers, am actually a Highlander.

I had this cool idea and I really want to do it, but every time I think about it I'm like, "What if my Scots isn't good enough?" Like somehow I'm so bad at my first language (just because I've had to use English so much) that I should be leaving it to someone "better" at it than me 🙃
