Right definitely a lot of that. Also, I avoid apps that scroll forever. I want things I can reasonably catch up on and be done with. Example: I’m trying out some email newsletters so that I’m only looking at the news once a day and it’s focused. That helps for keeping me off my phone!

Ah! I’ve been hitting this problem lately even as a regular user. Their userbase has grown a TON since I joined. The team’s working to keep up, but it’s growing pains. If you’re interested, try again at various times to see when the server is available. If not, maybe wait and see which app wins.

I’ve been trying to reinvest in my relationship with art and creativity. I used to create music a lot, and reconnecting with that has been super rewarding, especially emotionally. Creating just feels so good when everything else feels destructive.

Yeah it’s a little glitchy rn, but I’m enjoying Pixelfed. IG with less endless scrolling.
