Being able to clearly communicate to the player the state of the circuit, where the power is going, and what it might be powering is so important. Its easy to just have it flip a flag behind the scenes but doing all of that so cleanly as you have is an art. 🙂

Yeah, Lumen is on by default for UE5. Give this a whack and see how it does for you.

Open AppData\Local\\UE5\(GameName)\Saved\\Config\WindowsClient - Engine.ini, and add these lines to the bottom to turn off Lumen:

The cards before the RTX series do not do hardware ray tracing. Its literally just not a feature on earlier cards. There is a fallback mode and there are ways to detect the type of card and do things differently in the code, but currently that's up to the developer to manage it themselves.
