Last but certainly not least, I have The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. With The Blade Itself setting the stage.

What can I say about this trilogy that hasn’t already been said? The character work, the banter, the growth—just an all-around banger. Logan Ninefingers supremacy.

No shocker that Robin Hobb made the list twice.

The Tawny Man was PRESSURE. Mrs. Hobb dropped banger after banger with this one. Seeing an adult Fitz was everything for me.

And Burrich in Fool’s Fate? Gives me chills every time I think about it.

This wouldn’t be a list if I didn’t mention The Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb.

Robin Hobb gave me some of the best character work I’ve ever read. The Liveship Traders was an adventure from start to finish, and Ship of Destiny takes the cake for me. I’d love to meet Paragon.

Oathbringer. Sanderson really delivered with Dalinar’s backstory it added so much context to an already phenomenal character. He’s one of my favorites in fantasy, and Brando was in his bag with this one.

Starting off strong:

Broken Earth Trilogy

N.K. Jemisin is a genius. This series is brutal, thought provoking, and completely unique. But what really made The Obelisk Gate for me? Learning more about Nassun and her mother’s relationship it just made so much sense. I wouldn’t change a thing.

My daughter is half Ashkenazi Jew and after reading just 3 chapters it’s become very apparent I don’t know enough about her culture. Something I’ll be changing this year.

I’m glad I picked it up.

So far from what I can gauge a pervert gets reincarnated into a foreign land/body.

It wouldn’t be so bad if every other paragraph wasn’t commenting on a women’s beauty/body.
