Brick and mortar retail is becoming a strange experience. Went to a big box home centre to buy 2 cordless drills. Found what I wanted behind a cage. Talked to 4 different employees, none of whom had the key. Two intercom pages. 25 minutes. I had to leave empty handed. #RONA

Canadian politics is a minefield right now, and discussion is fraught with peril. There are important things to convey, but every reply I read is jammed with insane rhetoric that may or may not be bot-generated. Social media is the worst place for election discourse, but there are no alternatives.

I have to say, at this time of year the parasocial thing gets out of hand. I know dudes are at home twiddling thumbs and want to tell me all about granddad's guitar but I'm not wading through 3 pages of text in an email from someone I don't know when it's not actually business related x 130.

And just like that, within 5 minutes of signing up I've received my first thirst-trapper follow. I don't believe that little waifu is really a waifu, or maybe they are in the truest sense of the word, i.e. Fictional.

I'm not sure why I feel the need to stake a claim on new (to me) social media platforms. At a certain point when you've had scammers use your image to try and fleece the elderly, it feels like an act of defiance. This is the real me, but what does that even mean?
