I don’t understand why anyone would see this as a snobby alternative.

Grinding some inexpensive beans in an inexpensive grinder takes 30 seconds longer than instant, but the difference in taste is huge.
I’m not sure I’ve ever tasted instant that didn’t taste mildly burnt and disappointingly thin.
