Mentally I'm a mid twenties human in a forty-something body.

Parent to two wonderful kids, and husband to an amazing woman.

Mainly banging on about good music, books, games and sharing photos on here.
Yeah, it's a great idea to do small places but maybe a residency in each would have been a better idea! She's only doing a few places in the UK so we'd have a 2 and a half hour drive each way to deal with as well 😭

Queued, got in to purchase, claimed tickets available and said click on the map to select tickets (general admission/standing only). Greyed out and wouldn't let me click.

Absolute trash - my daughter will be gutted.

Perfect - thank you!

Just saw a thread discussing whether artists should share show times and it definitely helps when travelling to another city!

Going to Leeds tomorrow - what are stage times like for this tour?

Can I steal this and put it as a screensaver on my kids phones?

Literally started chatting to a fellow dad trying to wrangle his 2yo in the shops today... 😆

We're awful for road rage in this country, and people seem to have become incredibly impatient. I cycle to and from work some days, and my mantra for travel has for some time been "always assume everyone else is about to do something stupid".

I don't think you can escape the fact that traditional "one episode a week" style releasing still makes for much more of an event than dumping a whole series at a time...

(And yes, I'm aware traitors was twice a week)

Yeah, it's JG Ballard from 1962. Found my copy cheap a while ago after a friend recommended it.

Feel like I should also recommend @naomialderman.bsky.social's "the future" to you since we're on a roll here!

I'll take a look into those. I'm a bit of a glutton for punishment when it comes to dystopian sci-fi stuff. Have a folio society edition of the Drowned World which I still haven't got around to reading.

What were the others? I just read a brilliant book called the last dog on earth by @adrianjwalker.bsky.social and though it's not pandemic related it's got a lot of frighteningly on the nose things going on.

I searched and it said that this was the last one of the year. Just wasn't sure if buying something outside of the official times would scupper my hopes of artists getting their full amount

It was only logical.
