Same! I think it's one part that turned out really well. I wanna try and keep a similar vibe with the rest of my Eldar bases.

The axe suffered the worst, because I couldn't decide if I wanted metal or something molten, and each time I painted over it the sigil in the middle caught too much paint.

When it's done right it's really cool, but I borked it. Tried to fix it, made it worse. Next time I won't be so careless.

Initially the upper and lower lance barrels were gonna be brass, but I felt that was too much metal, so I repainted them black.

I did segment the head and base from the body, but I think the banner suffered a lot, because I didn’t quite have the control for the embossed shapes.

I know it's not unusual to find asset reuse in video games. It's quite normal from what I understand...

but I do think there's a cut off point somewhere.
