when it's so blatantly obvious that every NPC is also using that system. Also their CEO is a huge AI guy, and Nexon is really pushing for AI integration in the game dev pipeline, so like, how does that square with everything they're saying?

It's a pretty negative video, I don't want to disparage any of the actual work done on this game, and the thesis of the video ends up amounting to not much outside of asking why we're all so keen to trust that Embark is only using AI voice acting for barks and call-outs,

Also the Eurogamer review yanked my point about the use of AI undermining the themes of the game, they did this on purpose to keep me down I'm certain of it.

I don't know if 20 minutes of me pointing at a Morgan Stanley symposium presentation from 2019, discrepancies between steam AI disclosures between The Finals and Arc Raiders, the blog of Nexon's ex-CEO, and a bunch lukewarmly researched vibes and conjectures a good video makes.

Anything between Transylvanian Hunger and Arctic Thunder I've actually never listened to lol. It's getting chilly out so might not be a bad idea to put some of those on

Two Hunters is an all-timer, I remember getting into the OSR around the same time I first heard it, so the two are forever linked for me.

That's what I'm saying! I didn't know this was a thing until much later in my playthrough of 2 as someone new to the series, which led to a more interesting personal experience with my own skill progression than "read about new ability and then unlocked it". I could've phrased that better lmfao
