Overall, I'm grossed out by and uncomfortable with anybody who wants to use GenAI to make and profit from music, and I firmly believe we need legislation to limit its advancement and usage within the industry. BUT I'd be dishonest if I said I haven't been entertained before by some AI-made stuff

There are other types of non-generative AI tools that can be really helpful in the music production process, which I don't see as menacing because they are limited in scope for what they do. Tools that assist with sound isolation, EQ-ing, pitch correction. I think part of why those don't bother me--

It is invasive and exploitative to regurgitate someone else's ideas and voice for profit, particularly and especially without consent or knowledge. GenAI is incapable of having opinions--

I know that just in general they're prettier words that flow better lyrically, so they're easier to sing, it just feels nice to me 🤷
