Here’s the Folding Ideas video if you haven’t seen it. The sound Dan makes on the title screen is basically the same sound I make when I see yet another “Fujimoto did Reze dirty” post.

Don’t make me force you all to read essays on Ian Fleming, kids.

…to read a work. However, I am a bit baffled at how metaphor is lost on Chainsaw Man readers given how brutal and direct it is in the climax, then discussed in the final chapter.

Then again, Annihilation also used violence and body horror as metaphor and it was lost on some of the audience too.

Thank you! Waiting for an eye appointment right now. No impact to vision, but there’s pain and inflammation. Less than yesterday, though.

The big one for me was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I started with The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, a book that has no time to reestablish ANYTHING that was established in the first book.

I’m still recovering a little. Still a bit of inflammation with saliva glands but it’s on the way out.

Thank you about the kind words on the other situation. I’m cautious about posting details. Hoping for the best there.

Last winter was cursed as well, come to think about it.

Dreading bloodwork next week.

Turns out that EBV never really goes away and COVID can trigger a relapse.

Thankfully my relapse wasn’t terrible (mostly mouth and throat issues) but there’s some medical papers that detail more significant relapses. Mono symptoms that pass for Measles right after COVID, for example.

I am doing ✨OKAY✨ on the health front. I didn’t get the symptoms I got in 2018 but I’ve only really been able to eat semi-normalish since yesterday.

There’s other non-health situations going on that I can’t discuss (privacy reasons, mostly) which are less okay, but we continue to survive.
