I don’t understand why this dude isn’t running as a Libertarian or GOP if he can’t even get rid of the fkn tattoo.

Jaworski ran in the primary on issues, including going after GOP corruption. In the general election, the only message I picked up on from Garza was she was a Latina lawyer from RGV. I mean, OK, but that alone is not going to win statewide.

my question is, at what point do statewide candidates feel it is worth it or necessary to reach out to TX Latinos? It was a big facepalm that 90s redistricting gave Houston Latinos their own district, and we then elected a white man, Gene Green. But Green ran on issues, not his own race.

last night was a bleak one for TX legislature history. dan patrick literally denied senate democrats the ability to filibuster redistricting, even though rules allow it. roland gutierrez asked what precedent there was for this. patrick didn't even bother to answer. that's how the map passed.
