@digiphile.bsky.social I agree. I am totally blind and have a severe hearing impairment which makes human voices a pain. You need a different group of skills, and get understanding of material differently, when you get that material in braille, in audio from a human, in audio produced by a TTS...

@deadeyejedibob.bsky.social The writing on the wall was clear enough, but reading it meant you'd have to give up all you had, and keep in mind German wasn't really the official language anywhere outside Europe. The people who didn't read it in time do have my sympathy, it must have been hard.
