i love how he intentionally made sure to call it "obamacare" instead of "ACA" because he knows how stupid their voting base is.

of the names on one of the lists, booker is my disappointed-but-not-surprise entry.

sorry but disagree.

if you've taken it this far and have already made people suffer for it, you can't just capitulate and gain nothing. because it's now, "YOU have made people suffer for nothing." you've just effectively moved that blame off GOP onto yourself.

except it wouldn't even be "insulating Republicans from political consequences". it's literally moving the bullseye of blame OFF of republicans onto yourself.

the "blame" for the shutdown was always on dems but the narrative was "for the greater good" so if there isn't a "greater good" then . . .
November 10, 2025 at 2:18 AM
right, 100%. like, "okay, it's shit RIGHT NOW but i'm dealing with it for a reason and my life will be better". and that was the whole premise.

you cave now and you've moved the bullseye of blame directly onto yourself off of republicans.
November 10, 2025 at 2:00 AM
and, as one of the people in pain, it would piss me off more if they cave now. like, why go through it at all if you're going to cave? why have me have to deal with it in the first place if you're going to cave?

and, hell, caving RIGHT AFTER you got that win on nov 4?!?? WTF?
November 10, 2025 at 1:09 AM
it's basically capitulation - immediately after getting a win in the election which is the weirdest part - and a terrible look. like, if you were going to cave anyway, why have people suffer at all?
November 10, 2025 at 1:07 AM
i feel like caving at this point is worse than not having done it at all. like, if you cave now, then what the hell did you have people suffer for?

and we're really bad with it along with taking entirely too damn long.

i'm genuinely shocked we don't get more yellow cards for the idiocy.
